Honoring love in all its diversity, the 20-year-old Canadian photographer Nastia Cloutier-Ignatiev, shoot a series of close-ups for the Vienna/Berlin based magazine C-Heads in 2016. This series, called ’Love’ features different couples kissing.
The photographer was close enough to see what really happens when two people in love kiss. Goosebumps, delicate moves, a real bubble between the two and the desire of wanting more. It was very important for Nastia to keep a distance between her and the couple, being too close the bubble always burst and the magic, the special connection and the passion between the ‘lovers’ rapidly disappeared. With the right distance, it was like she wasn’t even in the room.
Nastia tells the magazine that “This series is very important for me because love is beautiful, love is what guides us all, it makes us cry, be angry, happy… And I really wanted to have a diversity in the couples to show that love is for everybody and that you can love who you want and accepts the ones who others love”.
